Privacy Policy
Effective 9 October 2026
Glade helps you learn what you want to learn: it organizes the path, prepares sessions, tutors you, gives feedback on your attempts, keeps a Learning inbox of things you saved, and helps you fit learning into your week with Memriq's Helm. Glade is operated by Memriq Holdings, Inc. ("Memriq", "we"), which is the controller of the personal information described here.
Glade is for people 16 and over
Glade is only for people aged 16 and over, in every country. When you start, Glade asks you once whether you are 16 or over and keeps only the answer "meets the minimum age" — never your birth year, birth date or age. If you are under 16, Glade refuses and keeps nothing about you.
What Glade keeps
- Your account — your Memriq account signs you in; Glade itself refers to you by a random member id and does not keep your name or email.
- Your learning — the goals you set in your own words, your plans and sessions, your questions and the tutor's replies, your practice attempts and the feedback on them, the evidence of what you can now do, your reflections and learning episodes, and your interests as Glade understands them (you can see and change these).
- Your Learning inbox — the articles, emails, links, notes and files you saved or forwarded to your private Glade address, with where each came from and why you saved it.
- Your settings — how much Glade may do on its own, and which connections are on.
- Support conversations — what you write to Glade's support chat.
How it is protected
Everything Glade keeps about your learning is encrypted under your own account. Only random record identifiers, states and timestamps are stored unencrypted, so someone who obtained Glade's stored data without your account's key could not tell who any of it belongs to or what they are learning.
Learning material is AI-generated and checked
Glade's explanations, sessions, practice and tutor replies are generated with AI models. Material that goes into a session or a course is written from sources and then checked, claim by claim, against those sources before you see it; a claim no source supports is not shown, and where credible sources disagree, Glade shows you the views and who holds them. A quick answer to a one-off question may come from the model alone, and is labelled "not checked against sources" with a control to check it. AI can still be wrong: check anything that matters before you rely on it.
Your learning is never training material
Nothing you write, save, attempt or record is used to train an AI model, and it is never shared with a third party or with another learner. Material Glade builds from public sources may be reused for other learners who ask the same thing; anything that came from you — your own sources, notes, attempts and inbox — never is. We do not sell or share your personal information, and have not in the past twelve months.
Your mailbox, only if you connect it
If you connect a mailbox, Glade reads it through Memriq's Harbor to find things you meant to learn: emails you sent yourself, emails sent to your Glade address, and senders you marked as a learning source. When you start an Inbox review, Glade looks through your mailbox in memory to propose what to take in; nothing is taken in until you accept it. Glade archives an email only after you accepted the item it became and that item is safely stored — it moves it out of your inbox and never deletes it. Glade never sends email from your mailbox, and holds no mail password: Harbor holds the connection, and you can disconnect it at any time.
Photos, recordings and video, only with your permission
Glade asks for your permission before it processes a photo, audio recording or video of a practice attempt. It is processed for that one piece of feedback and then dropped; it is kept only if you save it to your portfolio, where it is encrypted like everything else. Feedback on media never claims anything about injury, health or readiness.
Where Glade's information goes outside Glade
- Helm — time you block and to-dos you accept are written into your Helm account, encrypted there.
- Harbor — holds your mailbox connection, if you made one.
- Billing — Memriq's billing service sees only your account id and which Glade feature was used.
- Other Memriq services — when another Memriq service could do something specific for one of your goals, Glade tells you; it shares nothing with that service unless you choose to go ahead.
Services that process it for us
- Railway — runs Glade's servers.
- MongoDB Atlas — stores Glade's records, encrypted as described above, in the United States.
- OpenAI — the AI models Glade uses to write, check, tutor, give feedback and draw illustrations.
- Brave Search — finds public sources for the material Glade writes.
- Resend — delivers the emails Memriq sends you, through Memriq's one sender.
- Cloudflare — receives email sent to your Glade address.
- Google — signs you in, if you choose Google.
How long it is kept
Glade keeps what you saved until you delete it. Your account and everything in your Glade are deleted within 30 days of your account closing. Support messages are kept for 2 years, server logs for 90 days, and billing records, if you ever have any, for 7 years. Backups can hold deleted data for up to 35 days before it is gone from them too.
Getting a copy, or deleting it
Glade gives you a download of everything it keeps for you and a way to delete everything in your Glade, including the Helm reminders it made and your Glade address. Closing your Memriq account: write to privacy@memriq.ai, or ask Glade's support chat to pass you to a person — we acknowledge within 5 business days and finish within 30 days. The same address gives you a copy of what we hold, or corrects it.
If you are in the EU or UK
We rely on the contract with you to run Glade, on our legitimate interests to keep it working and secure, and on your consent for anything else, including processing your media and reading your mailbox. Your information is processed in the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses. You may complain to your local data protection authority.
